GLOBAL TECH SUPPORT, MICROSOFT SCAM
If you have been contacted by an indian speaking Telemarketer using a ficticous name like Max, Sam, Matt or Pete informing that you have been sending out viruses or adware from your computer, this is a SCAM and we are recomending that you follow the following steps.
The known offending company is www.globalpcprotection.com1. If you have allowed them into your computer:
- A. ASAP dispute your credit card transaction with the bank.
- B. Contact a trusted computer technician and ask them to remove any last installed software programs
- C. Report a complaint to the following organizations:
